Software Engineer

SIE Wellness is an AI-powered healthcare platform focused on simplifying access to care by transforming fragmented health information into clear, actionable insights. The Software Engineer will build the core infrastructure and application layer of the platform, developing scalable systems and collaborating with various teams to integrate intelligent outputs into user-facing experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Build the core infrastructure and application layer of our platform
• Designing and developing scalable systems that power data ingestion, integration, and delivery of actionable insights within clinical workflows
• Work closely with machine learning, product, and design teams to ensure that intelligent outputs are seamlessly integrated into user-facing experiences
• Building APIs
• Developing backend services
• Managing data pipelines
• Creating secure, reliable systems that support real-time healthcare applications

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, and system design
• Experience building scalable backend systems and APIs
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks and full-stack development
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience developing or integrating AI/ML applications, including working with large language models (LLMs), AI APIs, or machine learning frameworks
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or AI-powered application development
• Experience with healthcare systems, interoperability standards, or data integration
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms, security best practices, and HIPAA-compliant application development
