Customer Service Representative

Beacon Hill is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support their Medicare Supplement claims team. The role involves assisting healthcare providers with claim payments and reimbursement inquiries while managing a high volume of calls in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers regarding claim payments and reimbursement inquiries
• Handle a high volume of inbound calls, averaging 60-80 calls per day
• Research claim status, payment history, and reimbursement issues
• Review and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOB) information to providers
• Verify coverage and payment details related to Medicare Supplement plans
• Communicate professionally with providers to resolve concerns and answer questions
• Document inquiries and resolutions accurately within company systems
• Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve claim discrepancies
• Respond promptly to Microsoft Teams messages and maintain effective communication in a remote work environment
• Meet established service, quality, and productivity expectations
• Maintain confidentiality of member and provider information

Requirements:

• Previous customer service experience in healthcare insurance or life insurance
• Working knowledge of health insurance benefits and claims processing
• Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls throughout the day
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medicare Supplement or healthcare insurance experience
