As a Senior Business Analyst - Financial, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company meets client objectives in financial functional areas, while also guiding a team of analysts and collaborating with clients and technical staff to define and document business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Help coordinate a business analyst team’s duties and activities on IT projects and nurture newer team members by providing guidance and support
Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact
Work with the client to develop business specs at the start of a technical project
Analyze, plan, design, document or make recommendations to improve business processes to support client’s technology goals
Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results
Exercise your ability to use basic analytical or relational database software — such as Excel or SQL — to quantify the anticipated impact of work

Requirements:

6+ years of Business Analyst experience
Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare regulations, financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards
Experience analyzing and documenting financial business processes, including claims payment, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, reconciliation, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Advanced analytical and data validation skills, including the ability to validate financial calculations, payment accuracy, and system outputs through detailed analysis
Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, reporting and visualization tools (such as Power BI or Tableau), and requirements management tools such as ALM
Understanding of technology and systems concepts, including configuration, development, batch processing, and the translation of business requirements into technical solutions
3+ years supporting Medicaid and Medicare programs
