AI Trainer - Mechanical Engineers - CAD Expertise - (Remote Advisory - France)

Prolific is building the biggest pool of quality human data in the world, connecting researchers and organizations with participants for AI development. They are seeking Mechanical Engineers to join their expert B2B and AI research network to help capture real-world CAD design challenges and validation workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design physical objects suitable for 3D printing using open-source CAD software
• Complete engineering design tasks while your workflow, including tool usage, clicks, and design decisions, is captured to help train AI models on engineering problem-solving
• Write and execute Python validation scripts to support your design workflow
• Complete tasks across multiple complexity levels: Simple: Approximately 4 hours, Moderate: Approximately 4–24 hours, Complex: Approximately 24–40 hours

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Strong proficiency with open-source CAD software (e.g., FreeCAD, KiCad, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• A reliable internet connection and access to a computer
• Python development experience with the ability to write and execute scripts independently
• Experience writing validation scripts (not just using pre-built tools)
• Comfortable working from the command line
• Comfortable using Linux and/or Windows environments
