Business Analyst / LIMS Analyst Developer

Sharp Decisions is seeking a Business Analyst / LIMS Analyst Developer to support and enhance LabWare LIMS v8 and its integrations. The role involves working closely with laboratory personnel to implement enhancements and ensure effective communication of technical concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Support LabWare LIMS v8 and API integrations
• Provide HL7 integration support
• Gather and document requirements
• Create user stories and test scripts
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Develop workflow documentation
• Train end users
• Support system performance improvements

Requirements:

• Business analysis experience
• SQL and relational database experience
• Requirements gathering and documentation experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Employment experience and knowledge of laboratory methodology and processes in the assigned laboratory section
• Environmental Chemistry knowledge including sample preparation batch vs. analysis batch, detection limits vs. reporting limits, standards vs. reagents, instrument blank vs. reagent blank vs. field blank, and TNI/EPA reporting regulations
• Infectious Disease knowledge including Chain of Custody, reagent batches vs. cultures, algorithm-based reportable results, reflex rule development, and CLIA/FDA/CDC reporting elements
• Experience working with and supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) dedicated to managing sample testing in Infectious Disease, Toxicology, and Environmental Chemistry laboratories
• Experience performing queries in LabWare LIMS, modifying minor coding issues, and customizing Crystal Reports
• LabWare LIMS experience
• Laboratory Informatics background
• Knowledge of HL7, XML, CCDA, LOINC, SNOMED CT, and ICD-10
• Experience in a Public Health Laboratory environment
• Crystal Reports experience
