Email Marketing Manager

Join Marathon is a fast-growing email marketing agency helping D2C brands generate more revenue through strategic email marketing. They are seeking an Email Marketing Manager who will own client relationships, email strategy, copywriting, campaign execution, and performance reporting while collaborating closely with the design team to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Own email strategy, execution, and copywriting for D2C/eCommerce brands
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, maintaining proactive and professional communication
• Lead client meetings, present strategic recommendations, and provide updates on campaign performance and project status
• Plan and write high-converting email campaigns and lifecycle flows
• Develop messaging angles, campaign themes, and flow strategies
• Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple client accounts
• Collaborate closely with designers to ensure copy and creative work together seamlessly
• Participate in fast feedback loops using Slack, ClickUp, and Figma
• Analyze campaign and flow performance to identify insights, opportunities, and recommendations
• Create and maintain recurring client performance reports
• Present performance reports and communicate wins, challenges, and next steps with confidence
• Balance speed, quality, and performance without overthinking or over-polishing
• Maintain exceptional organization across campaigns, projects, and client communication
• Be highly responsive, accountable, and deadline-driven

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Email Marketing Manager, Strategist, and Copywriter for D2C/eCommerce brands
• Experience owning the full email marketing lifecycle—from strategy and planning through copywriting, QA, launch, and performance analysis
• Experience managing multiple client relationships and leading client communications
• Experience presenting marketing strategies and recommendations to clients
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously
• Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing (welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, etc.)
• Excellent direct-response copywriting skills
• Experience creating and presenting marketing performance reports
• Ability to analyze campaign data and communicate insights in a clear, strategic, client-friendly manner
• Strong understanding of email performance metrics (CTR, CVR, revenue attribution, deliverability, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working with Klaviyo
• Comfortable working with Figma (reviewing designs and commenting on layouts)
• Comfortable working with Slack (daily communication)
• Comfortable working with ClickUp (task management)
• Comfortable working with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
• Comfortable working with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to improve productivity and creative output
• Design experience or strong visual instincts
• Advanced Klaviyo knowledge (segmentation, dynamic content, personalization, QA, and automation)
