Software Engineer (Remote)

Toucreek Technology Services is a fast-growing professional services firm headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are seeking a Software Engineer to own the full lifecycle of software products and tools, focusing on software development, codebase ownership, framework development, and quality testing.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and shipping complete, production-grade software solutions, not scripts or one-off automation
• Maintaining, refactoring, and evolving existing software codebases with a focus on reliability, readability, and long-term maintainability
• Building reusable frameworks, libraries, and internal tools that improve productivity for engineering and professional services teams
• Writing robust unit tests and participating in code reviews to ensure high software quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5–6 years of professional software development experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Python with a track record of writing production-quality software (not limited to automation scripts)
• Demonstrated history of delivering complete professional software projects from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance
• Hands-on experience maintaining and evolving existing software codebases
• Solid experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest or equivalent)
• Proficiency with modern version control systems and collaborative workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Comfortable working across the full software development life cycle
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning
• Prior experience at large-scale technology companies (e.g., Meta, Apple, or similar)
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration tools
• Experience building and integrating APIs and third-party software
• Background working in a customer-facing or professional services engineering environment
• Exposure to distributed systems concepts
