Senior Software Engineer

Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join AgentOps in the Office of the CTO. This role involves owning agentic solutions that reinvent how Pearson works, partnering with teams to translate their needs into valuable AI-driven solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years across some mix of product management, solution or service ownership, technical program management, R&D or innovation — ideally more than one of these
• A proven zero-to-one record: you've taken ideas from blank page to a live, adopted solution, and owned them through iteration and improvement
• Enough technical depth in AI and agentic systems to make real build decisions, scope what's feasible, and partner credibly with engineers — without needing to write production code yourself
• Strong product sense and UX/architecture instinct: you can shape both what gets built and how it should feel and fit together
• The delivery skills to orchestrate moving parts, manage stakeholders, and ship reliably against a plan
• Clear, persuasive communication: you can turn a complex agentic capability into a story that wins stakeholders and drives adoption — and you measure the value you create
