I&C Engineering Manager - MOX Project Job Details | newcleo

As the I&C Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of instrumentation, automation, and control systems supporting MOX facility engineering and project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, lead, develop, and provide technical direction to the I&C engineering team responsible for delivering the I&C scope of work across the MOX project lifecycle, from conceptual design through commissioning and plant startup
• Represent the organization in technical discussions with vendors, engineering partners, and internal stakeholders
• Manage team workload, establish performance objectives, prioritize activities, and provide regular status reporting through project metrics and KPIs
• Develop, manage, and monitor discipline budgets in accordance with approved project estimates and cost baselines
• Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and foster a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence
• Define and monitor goals and standards of performance for each team member
• Develop and enforce methods and procedures to be used in the development and implementation of control system design, PLC/SCADA programs, HMI configuration, server system design, and industrial I.T
• Coordinate the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive experience in nuclear engineering, nuclear safety, or related nuclear facility engineering disciplines
• Proven experience in technical leadership, team coordination and management
• Experience working effectively across multidisciplinary teams, organizations, and international locations
• Strong knowledge of U.S. nuclear codes and standards, including NRC regulations and guidance
• Strong technical expertise in instrumentation and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial communications, and control system integration
• Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements applicable to industrial control systems and nuclear facilities
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI, ISA, IAE)
• General understanding of MOX fuel process design
• Significant experience in System Engineering
