Porter/Maintenance Warehouse Associate

The warehouse associate position performs custodial and facility maintenance works in a warehouse setting. Responsibilities may include janitorial, common area maintenance, and Forklift/EPJ operation duties throughout building interiors and/or exteriors.

Essential Functions

• Porter duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning and general clean-up of outside areas and inside the warehouse.
• Dust furniture, walls, clean machines, and equipment, ability to use ladder to dust high areas.
• Ability to move boxes, crates/pallets, supplies, either manually or by using EPJ equipment to clean areas.
• Sweep walk ways, sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, rake leaves, remove trash debris or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
• Gather, remove waste and empty trash.
• Deep Clean freezer, cooler, racks in warehouse.
• Maintain food safety standards.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or any warehouse issues.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and holidays.
• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs to 70lbs.
• Job requires extended periods of walking and/or standing.
• Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with co-workers
• Work safely in accordance with company safety rules and procedures at all times including keeping your work area clean and orderly.
• Maintenance of warehouse facility, minor fixes such as filling gaps on damaged walls, replace light bulbs or light fixtures, repair handles, flapper, chain or fill valve, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

·        1 year experience in a related field preferred, 1 year of EPJ experience (Custodial & Warehouse) .

·        Knowledge of washing and cleaning in a cold warehouse environment

·        Ability to follow oral and written instructions

·        Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.

·        Physical requirements: must be able to kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, bend, etc. with comfort and ease; must also be able to move objects weighing between 20 and 70lbs

·        Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environment

·        Ability to solve problems independently or team setting environment.

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm

Pay Rate: $18.75 up tp $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
