About the Role
We are seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to support healthcare data integration,
analytics, quality reporting, and population health initiatives for payer and provider
organizations. The primary focus of this role will be analyzing, validating, and
integrating healthcare data from multiple sources to support client implementations,
quality measurement programs, risk analytics, and operational reporting.
This role requires a strong foundation in healthcare data, advanced SQL skills, data
quality analysis, and dashboard development. The ideal candidate is comfortable
working directly with clients and stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable
insights, and ensuring the successful delivery of healthcare analytics solutions
A Day in the Life
Healthcare Data Integration & Validation
● Analyze, onboard, and validate healthcare data from multiple payer, clinical, and
third-party sources.
● Support data mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and integration activities
across healthcare datasets.
● Perform source-to-target analysis and validate data consistency, completeness,
and accuracy.
● Design and execute data quality checks to identify anomalies, gaps, and
inconsistencies.
● Distinguish between source data issues, transformation issues, and reporting
issues, and drive resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
● Support implementation and onboarding projects from discovery through
production deployment.
Quality, Risk & Population Health Analytics
● Support quality reporting and population health initiatives through analysis of
healthcare data.
● Work with quality measures including HEDIS, MIPS, Stars, and other value-based
care measures.
● Analyze care gaps, utilization patterns, quality performance, and member
populations.
● Support risk adjustment and claims-based analytics initiatives.
● Develop actionable insights that help clients improve quality outcomes and
operational performance.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
● Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI.
● Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, metrics, and
visualizations.
● Develop client-facing and operational reporting solutions that support
decision-making.
● Conduct ad hoc analyses and present findings to technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
● Partner directly with clients to understand business objectives, reporting
requirements, and data challenges.
● Participate in requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and solution
discussions.
● Clearly communicate data quality findings, risks, recommendations, and
analytical insights.
● Collaborate effectively across implementation, engineering, product, and client
teams.
What You Need
Education
● Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related
field.
Experience
● 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare data management,
healthcare consulting, population health, or healthcare technology.
● Experience working with payer, provider, or population health datasets.
Required Technical Skills
Data Analysis & Reporting
● Advanced SQL including:
○ Complex joins
○ Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
○ Window functions
○ Aggregations
○ Query optimization and performance tuning
● Power BI dashboard development and reporting
● Advanced Microsoft Excel
● Data profiling, reconciliation, and validation
Data Integration
● Understanding of data integration and ETL concepts.
● Experience performing source-to-target mapping and data onboarding activities.
● Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse environments.
● Exposure to platforms such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or similar modern
analytics environments.
Healthcare Data Knowledge
Strong understanding of:

● Experience working with data quality monitoring frameworks and validation
methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
● Exposure to healthcare data standards including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NDC,
LOINC, and NPI.
● Experience with healthcare interoperability concepts such as HL7 and FHIR.
● Experience supporting value-based care, risk adjustment, or quality
improvement programs.
● Familiarity with data quality monitoring tools and automated validation
frameworks.
● Exposure to AI-enabled productivity and analytical tools.
Good to Have
● Python scripting for data investigation, automation, and advanced analytics.
● Experience building reusable data validation or quality monitoring processes.
● Knowledge of cloud analytics ecosystems and modern healthcare data platforms.
