Software QA Engineer

Texas GovLink, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has been a leading provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities:

• The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems
• Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
• Create, execute and validate manual functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
• Create, execute and validate automated test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
• Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
• Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
• Execute performance and accessibility testing

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience Testing Complex Web Applications
• 6 years of Microsoft Service Dynamics 365
• 6 years of expertise in SQL
• 4 years of experience with JMeter/WAPT Pro or other Load Testing tool
• 4 years of automation experience with Java and TestNG
• 3 years of experience with Playwright
• 2 years of experience with GitHub Copilot Skills
• Previous experience with Zypher Scale preferred
• Previous experience with Jira preferred
