Data Migration Engineer

Infotree Global Solutions is seeking a Data Migration Engineer to support a temporary W2 project for U.S. citizens. The role focuses on migrating analytical workflows from Alteryx and R into Dataiku, delivering validated and documented SQL/Dataiku pipelines, and verifying migration fidelity through testing.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a pragmatic professional to transfer our existing analytical workflows from Alteryx and R into Dataiku for a set duration of 3 to 6 months
• SQL/Dataiku pipelines ready for production were handed over to internal teams with clear lineage and no regressions in business logic
• The priority is on achieving validated, documented translations rather than developing platform enhancements or innovating on tooling
• Build simple row-count/checksum tests to verify migration fidelity
• The capacity to simplify technical explanations for non-engineers and clearly state assumptions
• Transferred Alteryx to Dataiku; changed R to SQL or Python; reformatted SQL for use with DBT, similar expertise

Requirements:

• This role requires participation in the W2 Project and is applicable to US Citizens
• Profound SQL proficiency in crafting and optimizing queries (such as JOINs, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions) for both cloud warehouses and traditional databases (like Redshift and SQL Server)
• Proven experience in translating R/Alteryx logic into SQL or equivalent languages (KNIME, Informatica, etc.)
• The capacity to simplify technical explanations for non-engineers and clearly state assumptions
• With 2 to 4 years in data engineering, including direct experience with pipeline migration and replatforming
• Transferred Alteryx to Dataiku; changed R to SQL or Python; reformatted SQL for use with DBT, similar expertise
