Data Collection Specialist
- Our client is seeking a highly motivated data collection specialist to join our robotics team. The ideal candidate will have basic familiarity with electrical equipment and safety, operating machines, working with computers including command lines, and an understanding of how data is stored in large files. This position requires the ability to work with teleoperating (remote controlling) robots, inspecting video footage and taking corrective actions in order to collect good quality data. It also requires working with minimal direction, the capacity to work quickly and be flexible while delivering high-quality results. Having an eye for process improvement is critical as we will look to the data collection specialists for input on how to evolve our collection processes.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage data collection processes including securing testing materials, handling logistics, and providing daily report outs- Own defined projects focused on improving parts of the data collection processes- Work closely with engineering and research groups to improve usability and data collection speed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree required in a relevant field- 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves to get stuff done, support several projects at one time, and to accept reprioritization as necessary
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
- Ability to follow through, work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
- A good sense of humor, a positive attitude and great team work skills are a must
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Data Collection Specialist to support its Robotics team. This role involves operating and monitoring robotic systems, collecting high-quality data, reviewing video footage, and identifying opportunities to improve data collection processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day data collection activities
Secure testing materials and coordinate logistics
Review video footage and validate data quality
Teleoperate (remotely control) robots during testing activities
Identify and correct data collection issues
Provide daily status updates and reports
Own projects focused on improving data collection processes
Collaborate with engineering and research teams
Help improve usability, efficiency, and speed of data collection operations
Recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies
Required Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in a relevant field
0 to 2 years of related experience
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills
Basic familiarity with robotics or machine operation
Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and safety practices
Comfortable working with computers and command-line interfaces

Technical troubleshooting skills
Experience operating equipment or machines is a plus

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
