Senior Business Development Manager — Merchant Services Sales

National E-Payment is a nationally recognized merchant services company providing payment processing, POS systems, gateways, cash advance solutions, and related payment technology to businesses nationwide. The Senior Business Development Manager will drive new merchant acquisition, build referral and strategic partner channels, manage the full sales cycle, and expand the company’s market presence. The role requires a sales hunter who can generate opportunities, close profitable accounts, and consistently meet sales targets.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect, pursue, and close new merchant accounts across target industries
• Build a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities through outbound sales, networking, referrals, events, partnerships, and direct business-owner engagement
• Develop relationships with merchants, business owners, operators, referral partners, ISOs, agents, brokers, and strategic centers of influence
• Sell payment processing solutions, dual pricing, surcharge programs, POS systems, gateways, MCA solutions, and related merchant services products
• Identify merchant pain points and position National E-Payment’s solutions in a clear, compelling, and commercially effective way
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through discovery, proposal, negotiation, closing, and handoff
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity, deal status, follow-ups, and sales notes in the CRM
• Represent the company professionally in meetings, calls, trade events, networking opportunities, and client-facing interactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and strong merchant experience after the deal closes
• Stay current on payment industry trends, competitor offerings, pricing models, compliance updates, and merchant needs
• Bring market intelligence, relationship opportunities, and strategic sales ideas to leadership

Requirements:

• 5+ years of sales, business development, merchant services, fintech, payments, ISO, POS, MCA, or financial services experience
• Proven success acquiring new clients, merchants, or business accounts
• Strong understanding of payment processing, POS systems, gateways, surcharge, dual pricing, and/or cash advance products
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM platforms
• Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and closing skills
• Self-motivated, competitive, professional, and results-oriented
• A hunter mentality with a clear track record of generating new business
• Strong sales skills, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing
• Excellent people skills and the ability to build relationships with business owners and decision-makers
• An existing network of merchants, business owners, referral partners, ISOs, agents, brokers, or industry contacts
• High energy, strong follow-through, and the discipline to manage a sales pipeline
• Confidence handling objections and competing against other processors or providers
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, revenue-driven environment
• Accountability for goals, numbers, and measurable sales results
• Existing book of relationships or strong network within merchant services, business ownership, financial services, retail, hospitality, professional services, or related industries strongly preferred
