Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

EPAM Systems delivers technology solutions to industry leaders and is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer. The role focuses on setting up AWS infrastructure and GitLab environments to support migration initiatives, while developing CI/CD pipelines, implementing infrastructure as code, applying security best practices, and automating deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and configure AWS infrastructure to support migration projects
• Create and configure virtual machines according to best practices
• Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, Jenkins, code pipeline, and code deploy
• Build and maintain DevOps processes across the AWS environment
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Cloud Formation
• Apply core AWS security best practices, including security groups and roles
• Automate infrastructure and deployment tasks through scripting
• Support migration efforts across re-platform, refactor, and rearchitect scenarios

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in AWS DevOps, infrastructure setup, and CI/CD development and integration
• Proficiency in Git, GitLab, and Jenkins for source control and pipeline automation
• Expertise in Terraform and Cloud Formation for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of AWS core security best practices, including security groups and roles
• Skills in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
• Understanding of VM creation and configuration according to best practices
• Background in AWS DevOps services and code pipeline/code deploy tools
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Terragrunt
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud-watch, Datadog, Splunk, ELK, and Sumo Logic
• Working knowledge of AWS RDS and AWS EC2
