We are looking for an experienced CockroachDB Database Administrator with 8+ years of Database Administration experience and 2+ years of hands-on production experience with CockroachDB. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing distributed database environments, performance tuning, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support. 
Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ years of Database Administration experience.

• 2+ years of hands-on CockroachDB administration in production.

• Strong experience with CockroachDB cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.

• Expertise in distributed database architecture, replication, scalability, and high availability.

• Strong skills in query optimization, database performance tuning, and capacity planning.

• Experience with backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and database monitoring.

• Knowledge of database security, user management, and access controls.

• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

• Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical production environments.

• Willingness to participate in on-call production support.

Preferred Skills:

• Bash or Python scripting for database automation.

• Experience working with large-scale distributed database environments.
