Position Overview

Our client seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Engineering team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting scalable data solutions while helping enable advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, IBM DataStage, and Python, with Kafka experience considered a plus. This position will work closely with engineering, architecture, analytics, product, and business teams to build reliable data pipelines and support enterprise data and AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions.
• Develop and optimize data solutions using Snowflake, DataStage, and Python.
• Support data integration, transformation, ingestion, and processing across enterprise platforms.
• Build reliable, high-performance data solutions for analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Partner with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, automation, scalability, and performance.
• Support the implementation and adoption of advanced analytics and AI/ML solutions.
• Evaluate emerging data and AI technologies and recommend appropriate tools and solutions.
• Ensure data engineering solutions align with enterprise architecture, governance, security, and technology standards.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake.
• Strong experience with IBM DataStage or similar ETL technologies.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and large-scale data processing.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, product teams, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other streaming/event-driven technologies.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, advanced analytics, or machine learning data pipelines.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale cloud data environments.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and architectural best practices.
