Product Design and Development - Product Manager - Retail Product Lines 3

Mindlance is a staffing and recruitment company supporting a global athletic brand seeking a Product Line Manager for its WNBA/NBA apparel product creation team. The role leads the development of NBA/WNBA uniforms, gathers insights, builds product strategies, collaborates with league offices, teams, and cross-functional partners, and presents products to internal and external stakeholders and athletes.

Responsibilities:

• Product Management for apparel (5+ years)
• Presenting and meeting with external partners – strong communication skills
• Working on complex products (uniforms, brand collaborations, footwear, logos)
• Highly organized and cross-functional collaboration
• Leadership presence – ability to influence and guide diverse groups
• Excel, SmartSheets, Visual Tool Creation (PowerPoint/Keynote/Miro)
• Brand collaboration experience (preferred)
• Gathering insights, building and briefing product strategies, working with the NBA league office and teams to understand their needs, managing the product creation process, and pitching product to internal partners, external partners, and athletes
• You will manage uniform product creation that serves athletes on the court and consumers off the court
• Ability to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
• Attention to detail and proven record of delivery against deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, SmartSheets, and Visual Tool Creation (PowerPoint/Keynote/Miro)
• Creativity and passion for product, consumers, lifestyle fashion/trend, sport, color, and style
• Ability to drive challenging conversations with external partners
• Domestic and international travel (limited international) required – approximately 10%

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, or similar consumer-oriented role for apparel
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Development, Sports Product Management, or a related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lead and influence a team and enable collaborative working relationships
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group
• Attention to detail and proven record of delivery against deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, SmartSheets, and Visual Tool Creation (PowerPoint/Keynote/Miro)
