Senior Fire Protection Designer - Remote/Hybrid (LSNA-PA/OH/NC/IN/TX/VA)

Jacobs delivers engineering and consulting solutions for critical infrastructure, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, and advanced manufacturing. The Senior Fire Protection Designer will support industrial and commercial facility projects by managing schedule and technical quality, reviewing vendor drawings, executing fire protection and fire alarm system designs, and developing design estimates.

Responsibilities:

• You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule
• Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will review vendor drawings, execute fire protection and fire alarm systems designs, and develop design estimates

Requirements:

• Associate's degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
• At least 8+ years of CAD drafting/design experience with manufacturing projects
• Strong experience using Revit
• NICET II - Water-Based Systems Layout
• Experience in 3D fire protection modeling and hydraulic software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
