Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead

Sure Jake, Inc. is building a global creator media platform that brings creators, fans, brands and discovery together in a unified mobile-first consumer experience. The Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead will own the mobile application architecture, technology selection and implementation strategy for iOS and Android. The role will also define mobile API and backend requirements, establish engineering standards, and build the technical foundations needed to scale the platform.

Responsibilities:

• Define the overall mobile application architecture for iOS and Android
• Recommend and establish the appropriate mobile technology stack
• Evaluate native versus cross-platform approaches and make recommendations based on scalability, performance, development velocity and long-term maintainability
• Define strategies for state management, navigation, networking, caching, offline behaviour and application lifecycle management
• Translate high-fidelity product designs and UX requirements into production-quality mobile experiences
• Define requirements for mobile APIs and backend services
• Establish API contracts between mobile applications and backend services
• Consider media upload, processing, storage and delivery requirements
• Establish appropriate approaches to pagination, caching, synchronisation and data consistency

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture for iOS and Android
• Experience in recommending and establishing mobile technology stacks
• Ability to evaluate native versus cross-platform approaches based on scalability, performance, development velocity, and long-term maintainability
• Experience in defining strategies for state management, navigation, networking, caching, offline behaviour, and application lifecycle management
• Ability to translate high-fidelity product designs and UX requirements into production-quality mobile experiences
• Strong understanding of backend architecture required to support a modern creator platform
• Experience in defining requirements for mobile APIs and backend services
• Ability to establish API contracts between mobile applications and backend services

• Experience in establishing appropriate approaches to pagination, caching, synchronisation, and data consistency
