Product Manager - Payments

Boston Data Pro, LLC is seeking an experienced Payment Product Manager with expertise across the payments ecosystem, including processors, acquiring banks, gateways, fintechs, merchants, and payment networks. The role will own the strategy, roadmap, execution, and partner integrations for payment products, collaborating with technology, operations, finance, commercial teams, and external payment partners to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for payment processing and acquiring solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve payment acceptance, authorization rates, transaction economics, and customer experience
• Conduct market, competitor, and payment-ecosystem analysis to identify new products, capabilities, and partnerships
• Own integrations with payment gateways, fintech platforms, banks, processors, acquirers, and alternative payment providers
• Define API, integration, technical, operational, and business requirements
• Work with Engineering teams to design scalable payment integrations and partner connectivity
• Evaluate and onboard new payment partners based on capabilities, geographic coverage, reliability, commercial terms, compliance, and scalability
• Manage partner performance, SLAs, escalations, and ongoing product improvements

Requirements:

• Product management experience, with significant experience in payments, fintech, banking, payment processing, acquiring, or payment gateway
• Strong understanding of the payment ecosystem and relationships between merchants, payment gateways, processors, acquirers, issuers, networks, and fintech
• Hands-on experience working with payment processors, acquiring banks, gateways, PSPs, or fintech partners
• Strong understanding of payment APIs, integrations, transaction flows, and payment architecture
• Experience owning products through the full lifecycle from discovery to launch and optimization
• Strong analytical skills with experience using payment data and KPIs to drive product decisions
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders
• Experience helping launch or implement new payment products or capabilities from discovery through implementation and launch
• Exposure to product management activities such as customer discovery, defining requirements, MVP development, prioritization, roadmaps, and product iteration
• Experience in franchise, multi-brand, marketplace, retail, hospitality, merchant, or other multi-party environments
• Experience with mobile or digital payment experiences
• Experience with Stripe or similar payment platforms is beneficial but not required
• Ability to demonstrate specific examples of payment problems solved and measurable business/customer outcomes
