Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer

ECS is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and operations of a multi-tenant Web Content Management as a Service platform. The role focuses on optimizing AWS cloud services, developing sustainable solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Independently apply a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out, and support of information systems architectures
• Continuously optimize AWS cloud platform services across all integration points
• Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms
• Lead solution-architecting sessions that evaluate tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost
• Interact closely with key project stakeholders to design, plan, and implement operationally sustainable solutions
• Work closely with the technical team to deliver proposed designs
• Provide thought leadership and design leadership across engineering efforts
• Problem-solve technical challenges as they arise and adjust solutions based on discoveries or new requirements
• Provide regular updates to leadership
• Develop implementation plans reflecting required steps and timeline as well as assigning ownership
• Leverage a data-driven approach to continuous solution, organizational, and workforce improvement
• Optimize performance across multiple teams by suggesting delivery-process improvements aligned to evolving best practices and project context
• Contribute to the professional development of junior engineers through oversight and mentorship
