Principal Specialist Sales Engineer, Data Security - SLED

Zscaler is a cybersecurity company that provides a cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform to protect users, devices, and applications from cyberattacks and data loss. The Principal Specialist Sales Engineer will support Data Security customers in the SLED market by partnering with sales teams, translating customer requirements into solutions, leading product evaluations, and guiding prospects to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers
• Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions align to goals and needs
• Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations
• Design evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes

Requirements:

• • Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• • BSCS or equivalent with extensive experience as an SE or systems integrator, 5+ years of Pre-Sales experience, including 3+ years selling security/networking solutions in direct or high-touch environments
• • Experience with data protection and web-related technologies
• • Experience in a matrix role working with the broader GTM team to promote, sell, and support the Data Security business line
• • Experience in Commercial/high velocity segment
• • Experience with Zscaler (or competitive solutions) in the Data Protection market
• • Understanding of SaaS technologies and regulatory compliance for the geography
• • Success working in a matrix environment, teaming with a broader GTM and partner ecosystem
