Founding AI Research Engineer

Catapult is building personalised AI models that understand the complete context of users’ work across email, calendar, Slack, Notion, Google Docs, and more. The Founding AI Research Engineer will shape Catapult’s scientific and research AI direction, working end-to-end on retrieval and knowledge-base systems, reasoning models, and models that reason about information from screens and other applications through to product delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and solving very challenging technical and research-level problems
• Building products end-to-end (from hypothesis and experimentation all the way to user-facing application)
• Bringing expertise on and keeping abreast of current research and developments in NLP, vision, and more
• Helping identify and tackle technical challenges that may emerge across the product
• Pushing beyond your comfort zone and maximise your potential
