Social Media Marketing Intern

The Sturge-Weber Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and care for people with Sturge-Weber syndrome and related vascular birthmark conditions. The Social Media & Community Engagement Intern will help monitor and manage social media interactions, respond to general inquiries, route sensitive questions, coordinate volunteers, identify engagement opportunities, and support content and analytics activities.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor SWF's Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social media channels for comments, direct messages, mentions and tags
• Respond to appropriate general questions using approved SWF information and resources
• Make sure questions and messages don't get missed and route medical, research, patient-specific or other sensitive questions to the appropriate SWF team member
• Like, comment, share, tag and re-tag relevant community, clinician, researcher, partner and sponsor content
• Identify conversations and opportunities where SWF should be engaging
• Help coordinate and encourage our family social media volunteers who amplify SWF content from their own accounts
• Identify community questions, trends, stories and content opportunities and share those insights with SWF and our communications partner, Auxilia
• Help track engagement, volunteer activity and basic monthly analytics
• Assist with approved content ideas, reels, stories, graphics and event coverage when needed
