Agentic Software Engineer II

arrivia is a travel company formed through the merger of ICE, SOR Technology, and WMPH Vacations, focused on improving brands through travel and delivering customer-first experiences. The Agentic Software Engineer II will build and ship full-stack features for its travel platform using AI coding agents, independently taking work from implementation through production. The role also involves validating AI-generated code, modernizing services with cloud-native patterns, and contributing to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Ship customer-facing features on arrivia's travel platform using AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot as everyday tools, not side experiments
• You'll independently deliver well-scoped features from implementation through production, working under general supervision with moderate autonomy
• On this team, you'll develop and deliver features and services for the travel platform on a full-stack product development team, reviewing and validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before it merges
• You'll contribute to refactoring and modernizing existing services using cloud-native design patterns, and you'll consult with senior engineers on architectural decisions while raising risks that need team-level discussion

Requirements:

• This is a remote role, currently open to candidates based in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming
• You fit if you bring 3 to 5 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services, plus at least a year of hands-on experience using AI coding agents in professional workflows
• You're proficient in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET, comfortable in a modern frontend framework like React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular, and you've built and deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP
