Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer/Scientist (REMOTE ROLE)

ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider that combines specialized expertise with technology to help clients address complex challenges. The Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer/Scientist will provide technical and project management support for EPA Superfund, Brownfields, and contaminated-site remediation projects, including site characterization, remediation technologies, technical training, site modeling, and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage hands-on knowledge and experience with site characterization and remediation technologies to promote improvements to the cleanup of Superfund sites
• Lead and support technology transfer and training by identifying and evaluating ways to advance contaminated site cleanup including innovative technologies, approaches, strategies, and best practices
• Lead technical support developing conceptual site models, site strategies, optimization recommendations, assisting with systematic project planning, and cost estimation
• Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and client engagement

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, or similar discipline
• • Minimum 8 years of experience conducting site characterization and remediation of Superfund, Brownfields, and other contaminated sites
• • Team player with demonstrated project management skills including the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients
• • Excellent written and oral communications skills
• • Experience with remediation of mining sites and the unique challenges associated with mining sites and mining influenced water
• • Knowledge of EPA Superfund cleanup program and policies
• • Experience in cost estimation related to environmental characterization, cleanup, and infrastructure programs, as well as with the development and decommissioning of renewable energy projects
• • Expertise in developing technical deliverables and training materials
