Cyber Security Analyst

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a cybersecurity professional to support security operations for a healthcare claims system. The Cyber Security Analyst will lead governance, risk, and compliance functions, develop security policies, assess threats, implement layered defenses, and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Client is looking for a cybersecurity professional who can lead GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) functions specifically for healthcare claims system with the core mission of protecting sensitive data from unauthorized access or damage
• Ideal candidate will be CISSP certified and deep proficiency in cybersecurity risk management frameworks, industry regulations, and best practices
• The role involves actively collaborating with the Cyber Security Team and developing security policies, assessing threats, implementing layered defenses, and staying ahead of emerging cybersecurity trends
• They also want a self-sufficient professional who can manage multiple projects independently, collaborate effectively within a team, and clearly translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
