Director / Managing Director – EB-5 Capital Markets

InvestAmerica, a dba of Sequence Financial Specialists LLC, is a broker-dealer specializing in EB-5 and other private-market investment opportunities, including commercial real estate. The Director or Managing Director of EB-5 Capital Markets will build and manage an investor and referral network, educate investors on private placements, originate opportunities, raise capital, and develop an independent book of business while operating within broker-dealer compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of prospective EB-5 and non-EB5 private-market investors
• Build and grow U.S. and global relationships with immigration attorneys, immigration consultants, family offices, wealth managers, tax professionals, foreign referral partners, and other centers of influence
• Leverage existing industry relationships while developing new sources of investor referrals and capital
• Educate prospective investors regarding available private placement opportunities and help them understand investment structures, project economics, material risks, and other relevant considerations
• Present and compare approved diverse selection of investment opportunities in accordance with firm policies and applicable securities regulations
• Conduct investor discovery and suitability discussions and assist investors through the firm's investment evaluation and onboarding process
• Maintain an active pipeline and manage investor and referral-partner relationships through the firm's customized CRM system and established operating procedures
• Participate in conferences, webinars, investor presentations, industry events, and other business-development initiatives
• Develop long-term relationships rather than focusing solely on individual transactions
• Collaborate with InvestAmerica leadership, investment due diligence, operations, compliance, and project sponsor teams
• Maintain all required securities registrations and conduct business in accordance with applicable securities laws, FINRA requirements, and InvestAmerica supervisory and compliance procedures

Requirements:

• The strongest candidates will have deep industry knowledge, established relationships, and a demonstrated history of raising capital or developing investor business
• Relevant backgrounds may include:

• • EB-5 project sponsors and developers
• • EB-5 capital-raising organizations
• • Broker-dealers and registered representatives
• • Private placement and alternative investment sales
• • Commercial real estate capital markets
• • Private equity or private credit
• • Family office or high-net-worth investor coverage
• • Cross-border investment and international investor development
• Any required registrations, examinations, affiliations, or licensing requirements must be completed and approved before the individual engages in activities requiring securities registration
• • 5+ years of experience in EB-5, securities sales, private capital raising, commercial real estate, alternative investments, or a closely related field
• • Demonstrated track record of raising capital and developing long-term investor or referral relationships
• • Strong existing network within the EB-5 industry or among accredited investors and professional referral sources
• • Working knowledge of the EB-5 Program and the intersection between immigration objectives, securities offerings, and commercial real estate investment
• • Ability to understand and communicate sophisticated private placement structures, including capital stacks, debt and equity structures, project economics, development and investment risks, and investment exit strategies
• • Strong consultative sales and relationship-management skills
• • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
• • High degree of personal initiative, accountability, professionalism, and integrity
• • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where success is directly tied to business development and production
• • Experience managing a sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records
• Candidates who are currently registered representatives and hold applicable FINRA securities licenses are strongly encouraged to apply
