DevOps Engineer - 100% Remote

V-Soft Consulting is hiring a DevOps Engineer to support a premier client in a fully remote role. The position focuses on operating production web applications, managing AWS cloud infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices, and providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of DevOps experience
• Experience with languages such as Python/Go and technologies including MySQL, Java/Tomcat/Apache, and Splunk for systems monitoring/management
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals
• Experience operating a 24/7 production web application
• Strong communication skills and an ability to lead and provide mentorship to team members
• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Puppet or Chef/Ansible/Salt) and Terraform (or CloudFormation). This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert
• Extensive experience with AWS Cloud technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, DynamoDB) and container orchestrators like ECS
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and processes, including Git, Jenkins, and Nexus
