Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs Program Manager with 10+ years of experience in Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals and strong expertise in Medical Affairs functions. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of IT or Business Project Management experience and a proven track record managing enterprise applications, business transformation projects, global cross-functional teams, and complex stakeholder environments.
The candidate will serve as the primary liaison between Medical Affairs, business teams, IT, vendors, and delivery partners to ensure successful planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of Medical Affairs business and technology initiatives.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and governance frameworks.
Manage global cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
Partner with Medical Affairs leadership, Medical Information, Medical Communications, MSL/Field Medical, and IT teams.
Facilitate requirements workshops, project planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, and status reviews.
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technology deliverables.
Drive program governance, project reporting, risk management, and delivery predictability.
Manage project scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Support strategic planning, prioritization, process improvement, and implementation of Medical Affairs capabilities.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience.
8+ years of IT or Business Project Management experience.
Strong Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Medical Affairs experience.
Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs functions.
Knowledge of Medical Information, Medical Communications, Medical Education, Publications, and Field Medical operations.
Understanding of Medical Science Liaison (MSL) activities and scientific engagement processes.
Familiarity with medical content review and approval workflows.
Understanding of Medical Affairs compliance requirements and GxP environments.
Proven experience managing enterprise application and business transformation projects.
Experience managing global cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Strong program governance, project planning, execution, and reporting skills.
Ability to manage scope, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
