Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst

Humana is a healthcare company seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst for its Service Fund team. The role supports the expansion, evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of value-based programs through complex data analysis, reporting, financial transaction support, and collaboration with providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Power Automate and/or Power Apps and other technical skills to drive process improvement and assist markets in managing their value-based relationships
• Conducts research and produces reporting of monthly activity, providing an understanding of how the data reconciles and what it means for current and potential programs
• Assists in producing reports and completing ad hoc requests using Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and other various analytical tools
• Provides support for payments to value-based specialists
• Aids in the evaluation and expansion all value-based programs into new markets and business areas
• You will be responsible for spearheading use of new technologies

Requirements:

• 2+ years' advanced experience developing complex SQL queries
• 1+ years' experience in Healthcare related data ie. Provider, Insurance, etc
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (ex. Pivot tables, Vlookups, formatting etc.)
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks/Unified Data Platform
• You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship as Humana does not provide work visa sponsorship for this role
• At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
• occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required
• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Experience in health insurance related data ie. Medicare, Medicaid, Claims, Premium Data, etc
• Experience with Pyspark and/or Python
• Experience with tools such as Power Automate, or Power Apps to assist in process automation
