Legal Engineer

Lawyers On Demand is a global legal services business providing legal advisory, secondment, and legal operations and technology solutions. The Legal Engineer will design, implement, and optimize technology-enabled legal solutions, automate workflows, manage legal data, and improve legal service delivery. The role partners with legal, business, operations, and technology stakeholders and leads the adoption of AI and workflow automation tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize legal technology solutions, including contract lifecycle management, document automation, eDiscovery, matter management, and AI-enabled platforms
• Analyze and improve legal workflows by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, efficiency, and risk reduction
• Partner with legal, business, operations, and technology stakeholders to gather requirements and translate legal needs into scalable technical solutions
• Manage legal data, reporting, and analytics to provide actionable insights, track performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making
• Lead the evaluation, implementation, integration, and adoption of new legal technologies, including generative AI and workflow automation tools
• Develop user training, documentation, and change management strategies to drive successful implementation and maximize technology utilization

Requirements:

• J.D. or legal background is required
• Experience with AI, generative AI, prompt engineering, or machine learning applications in legal environments
• Knowledge of contract management, compliance, regulatory frameworks, and risk management
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar platforms
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, APIs, data visualization, or business intelligence tools
