DevSecOps Engineer, (Consultant, Engineering & Technical Services)

Fearless is a digital integration consultancy that combines technology, people, and organizational development to solve meaningful problems. The company is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to modernize and operate a secure, scalable enterprise cloud data platform for the federal government. The role focuses on Azure platform services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, cloud security, containerized workloads, and platform reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cloud platform services on Azure to support enterprise data operations and analytics workloads
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines that enable continuous integration and deployment of platform services and applications
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code repositories and configurations using Git and version control best practices
• Improve platform security posture by implementing cloud security controls, monitoring solutions, and compliance automation
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes to enable scalable and portable application deployment
• Monitor platform reliability and performance, identifying and resolving operational issues to maintain service availability
• Support cloud deployments and platform integrations that enable customer onboarding and data service delivery

• Be reliable completing assigned objectives on time
• Alert your teammates and supervisor immediately when you think a deliverable is at risk
• Gather intelligence and listen to what your client, other people within the customer’s organization and other contractors say about your project, and report back to your Fearless teammates and supervisor (whether it’s good, bad or just informational)
• Deliver expected outcomes relative to high quality code and maintainable systems
• Offer and implement innovative solutions that include engineering best practices through new tools, frameworks and methodologies
• Serve as a trusted advisor in your area of expertise

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, cloud operations, systems administration, or related infrastructure roles
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
• Proven experience with Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and identity management
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and practices to automate environment provisioning and configuration
• Experience with automation and scripting to reduce manual operational tasks and improve efficiency
• Working knowledge of APIs, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and version control using Git
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or during meetings
• Must be able to travel occasionally to client sites or company meetings, which may involve driving or flying
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person, requiring clear speech, listening, and written communication skills
• Ability to move within an office environment, including reaching for files, using office equipment, and occasional light lifting (up to 10 pounds)
• Experience working on federal government programs or in highly regulated environments
• Familiarity with data platform services, data engineering workflows, or analytics infrastructure
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks, monitoring tools, and operational observability practices
