The interview team will ask technical questions, so candidates must be prepared to discuss their experience in detail.
Technical Example 1: Candidates must be able to explain their experience using Agile tools such as JIRA for creating and managing Epics and User Stories and how those tools facilitate the software development lifecycle.
Technical Example 2: Candidates must be able to explain their experience creating as-is and to-be workflows and diagrams as part of IT projects.
Position DescriptionThe System Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements. The role requires a thorough understanding of business requirements and the ability to communicate business needs and system functionality to technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.
The System Analyst also serves as a Scrum Master, with heavy usage of Monday.com and/or JIRA, and coordinates with the Project Manager regarding project artifacts and required documentation.
This position requires onsite/in-person work on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ideal candidate should reside within one hour of Lansing.
The System Analyst works with project teams and stakeholders to examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems. This information is used to gather and define business requirements related to desired system functionality.
The role also includes creating test plans with the business area and ensuring repeatable processes are established beyond the lifecycle of the current project.
Job FitThe ideal candidate will have a mentoring or teaching-oriented background to support the long-term success of the business area. The candidate should be able to help establish an Agile mindset and support the transition from project mode to long-term maintenance mode.
