Senior Production Designer

PlatinumBlack develops market insights, improves business processes, and creates multi-channel marketing and advertising campaigns for clients. The Senior Production Designer will create, refine, and quality-check brand-consistent digital and print marketing assets while collaborating with creative, development, strategy, and account teams to deliver production-ready work.

Responsibilities:

• Design, refine, and produce a wide variety of digital and print marketing assets, from concept through production-ready execution
• Ensure exceptional quality control across all deliverables through meticulous review of layouts, typography, imagery, alignment, spacing, color and overall file integrity
• Produce and adapt campaign assets efficiently across multiple formats, channels and specifications while maintaining brand consistency
• Partner closely with designers, art directors, copywriters, developers and account teams to bring creative concepts to life with production excellence
• Build and prepare HTML5 digital advertising assets and other interactive deliverables
• Prepare production-ready files for commercial print, digital publishing and large-format applications
• Manage versioning, organization and archival of working files while maintaining production best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues before they become client issues
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation
• Stay current on evolving production technologies, workflows and automation opportunities, including AI-powered creative tools
• Share production knowledge, best practices and efficiencies with teammates while remaining open to coaching and continuous improvement
• Help uphold PlatinumBlack's standards for craftsmanship, consistency and creative excellence

Requirements:

• Houston-area candidates will work a hybrid schedule
• Remote opportunities are available for candidates located elsewhere in Texas statewide
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of professional production design or production art experience; agency experience strongly preferred
• An online portfolio demonstrating exceptional production craftsmanship across both print and digital work
• Excellent understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy, color theory, layout and visual systems
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
• Strong proficiency in Figma
• Experience producing HTML5 digital advertising assets
• Extensive knowledge of commercial print production, prepress, color management and file preparation
• Strong understanding of digital production requirements across web, email, social, display advertising and responsive design
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy under tight deadlines
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for getting every detail right
• Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across creative, strategy, development and account teams
• Curious, coachable and eager to continuously improve both personal craft and team workflows
