WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is seeking a skilled and collaborative Leave Management Specialist (Administrative Specialist II) to join the Leave Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and adjudicating employee medical leave requests, managing cases from intake through closure, and helping employees and supervisors understand their rights and responsibilities under applicable leave laws and County policies. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who wants to build deep expertise in leave administration within one of the region's largest local governments — and who finds real satisfaction in helping people through some of the most challenging moments of their working lives.

When a County employee faces a serious health event or a significant life circumstance, the Leave Management Specialist is often the first person who helps them understand their options and navigate a complex process with confidence. This is meaningful, people-centered work — and it requires someone who brings both rigorous attention to regulatory detail and genuine care for the employees they serve.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
Experience: Two (2) years of professional administrative experience related to Leave Management or closely related field.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
