Security Solution Engineer

The Security Solution Engineer leads technical customer engagements, demonstrations, solution design, and proof-of-concept efforts for Microsoft Security solutions while driving adoption, competitive differentiation, blocker resolution, and partner collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain expert-level knowledge in Microsoft Security solutions (Entra, Purview, Defender and Sentinel) and apply it to lead technical engagements with customers
• Independently deliver discovery, demo, and whiteboarding sessions that align with customer business goals and technical readiness
• Build competitive strategy by identifying product differentiators and proactively addressing objections to win technical decisions
• Lead solution design and PoC efforts by reframing customer challenges, quantifying business impact, and demonstrating Microsoft’s value in complex selling environments
• Know when and how to escalate blockers, push back on misaligned objections, and guide customers through resolution paths
• Engage in partner sell-with scenarios by co-owning technical execution and acting as a trusted source of partner knowledge

Requirements:

• 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
• OR equivalent experience

• 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
• 4+ years technical Security and/or Identity pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
• 3+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting roles
• L200 consultative and L400 technical certifications (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management Security and/or Identity
• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Microsoft Entra, Purview, Defender and Sentinel). SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-401, SC-500
