Senior Electrical Engineer - security clearance required

Jacobs is an engineering and consulting company supporting critical infrastructure, federal missions, and advanced projects. The Senior Electrical Engineer will represent the electrical engineering discipline as an owner's representative for federal projects, providing design consultation, construction quality oversight, project coordination, reporting, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a consultant in the establishment of design standards and criteria for construction projects. Provide expert electrical engineering comments based on these requirements
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance during construction
• Coordinate with client peer colleagues, client Project Managers, customers and other client personnel/contractors, and other project team members on projects as necessary
• Other similar or related services not of a decision-making nature
• Miscellaneous services which will require proficiency in the use of Microsoft’s Word, Excel, Power Point, Project software tools and AutoCAD
• Assist in the development of reports, studies and presentations
• Exhibit professionalism, good customer service and communication skills and serve as a cooperative team player
• Multitask and assume multiple projects or assignments simultaneously
• Collaborate and assist in resolving critical and possibly controversial issues with a multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers and federal agency clients
• Exhibit resiliency if shifting priorities require reprioritization of workload
• Understand and be able to implement standards as outlined in the POR, client Design Guides and Construction Standards. Suggest edits or updates to these documents, as applicable

Requirements:

• This position requires at minimum a secret clearance, and ability to obtain a top secret clearance
• • An active Secret Security Clearance is a requirement for this position
• • US Citizenship
• • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• • Minimum ten (10) years of related experience and/or training in commercial/government office building design and construction, etc
• Top Secret is preferred
• • Attainment of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferrable
• 20 years is preferable
