Senior AI Engineer - Health

The company is a startup building an intelligence layer for clinical research through a live platform that processes patient records across therapeutic areas in the US and UK. The Senior AI Engineer will build and deploy production-grade generative AI systems for clinicians and researchers, including retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, clinical data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Develop RAG and agentic AI systems over structured and unstructured clinical data (EHR, FHIR, PDFs, clinical notes, trial criteria)
• Design eligibility reasoning, patient-matching, and recruitment automation workflows
• Build large-scale data ingestion and processing pipelines
• Implement embedding, indexing, retrieval, and reranking pipelines (e.g., Milvus/Zilliz, Elasticsearch)
• Create evaluation frameworks for accuracy, retrieval quality, and hallucination rates
• Work on prompt design, tool usage, and orchestration logic at production scale
