Customer Service Representative--Chicago, Illinois

OPC Pest Services provides pest control services in the Northeastern Illinois and Chicago service areas. The Customer Service Representative connects customers with service technicians by coordinating schedules, resolving customer concerns, responding to service and sales inquiries, and communicating with field operations. The role also handles administrative tasks, customer follow-up, records, reporting, and account receivable support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and a quality experience to internal and external clients
• Prioritize, plan and complete daily tasks, special projects, and assignments
• Facilitate accounts receivable and collection efforts
• Manage administrative requests and tasks
• Provide proactive customer follow-up in a timely manner
• Deliver accurate service and promotional information
• Maintain accurate records utilizing customer service software applications
• Partner with management to manage expectations and meet deadlines
• Assist in scheduling of service routes
• Produce accurate and timely reports
• Ensure that work is complete and results are satisfactory
• Assist in training of new team members as requested/needed
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Excellent phone etiquette and friendly, professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, i.e. multi-task
• Knowledge of MS Office environment with Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
• Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communicates extensively via telephone and electronically with customers and co-workers
