Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a technology industry client. The role will architect, scale, and operate Kubernetes platforms across hybrid cloud environments while driving infrastructure automation, resolving complex systems issues, and influencing cloud infrastructure strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and scale Kubernetes platforms supporting mission-critical applications across both on-premises and AWS environments
• Establish platform engineering standards focused on reliability, automation, performance, and operational excellence
• Drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives utilizing Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to improve consistency and scalability
• Lead root cause investigations for complex Linux, networking, and distributed systems issues while implementing long-term solutions
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and influence cloud infrastructure strategy and platform roadmaps

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
• Demonstrated success designing, building, and maintaining highly available Kubernetes platforms at enterprise scale
• Expert-level Linux administration experience, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, and systems optimization
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems
