Please Note: they are looking specifically for a business analyst with experience in public or private sector tax, finance, audit, or accounting operations, with the ability to understand complex financial business processes, tax regulations, fiscal reporting requirements, and agency/organizational financial workflows preferred.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Primary responsibility of the Business Analyst includes facilitating stakeholder meetings to gather functional requirements, identifying current and future business flows, the creation of as-is and to-be business models, and development of functional requirement documentation for a large-scale tax system modernization. Additionally, the Business Analyst will create a requirements traceability matrix which includes performing GAP analysis as needed to validate alignment between approved requirements, current business processes, and the vendor's proposed solution, ensuring seamless transition from procurement to implementation. The role extends through the testing lifecycle, developing comprehensive UAT strategies and test scripts/user stories, coordinating validation activities, and ensuring deployed functionality meets business expectations. The ideal candidate would have a background in finance, accounting or audit system modernization.
As a key member of a project team, the Business Analyst proactively identifies and communicates potential business process re-engineering needs. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user flow diagrams, process models, requirements traceability matrix, and ad-hoc business reports, and forms/correspondence specification documentation.
