Cyber Security Analyst

The employer is a leading organization in the banking and financial industry focused on protecting critical assets and sensitive information. The Cyber Security Analyst will monitor and respond to incidents, assess vulnerabilities and risks, develop security policies, maintain secure systems and networks, and support regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using advanced tools and techniques
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate threats
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain secure systems and networks
• Analyze security breaches and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations
• Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and trends, ensuring proactive defense strategies
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and SOX

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
• Proficiency in tools like SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Nessus, or Burp Suite
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and network security principles
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable
