Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Agero, Inc. provides digital driver assistance services powered by data-driven technology. The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and algorithms to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, conduct feasibility analysis, and deliver scalable solutions
• Lead the full lifecycle of machine learning projects, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance
• Ensure adherence to best practices in machine learning, including model evaluation, validation, and monitoring
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in machine learning applications and processes
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Stay abreast of advancements in machine learning techniques and technologies to recommend improvements and new approaches

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in software application development and design experience
• 3-5 years experience working with Machine Learning systems
• 3-5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker)
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn)
• Experience building large, complex systems, particularly web services, RESTful APIs, and continuous integration and delivery
• Understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with other teams
• Motivated to understand the nuances of data and its impact on the business

• Experience with tree based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL are nice to have
