Software Engineer

PolicyAdvisor Brokerage (PAB) Inc. is an early-stage insurtech startup developing a digital insurance platform for Canadians through technology and data-driven solutions. The Software Engineer will develop, deploy, and optimize AI and machine learning models, integrate intelligent automation into the platform, and generate insights from large datasets to support personalized insurance solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and other machine learning tools
• Implement natural language processing (NLP) techniques to improve customer interactions and automate document analysis
• Lead model training processes utilizing big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and ETL pipelines for data extraction and transformation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the platform’s architecture, ensuring robust deployment using cloud services such as AWS
• Conduct data mining and analysis to uncover actionable insights from large datasets, supporting strategic decision-making
• Optimize database design and manage data workflows using SQL, SAS, Talend, and other analytics tools for efficient data handling
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends, including quantum engineering applications, to continually enhance our technological edge
