About the Role

Our client is expanding its integrated behavioral health program and is seeking a Psychiatric Consultant to join its Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) team.

This is a 100% remote, flexible, consultative role designed for psychiatrists and advanced psychiatric providers who enjoy population-based behavioral healthcare, clinical collaboration, and supporting patient care without providing direct patient visits.

The Psychiatric Consultant will work closely with Behavioral Health Care Managers and Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to guide treatment plans, review standardized symptom measures, and provide evidence-based recommendations across a patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly case review meetings with Behavioral Health Care Managers and Primary Care Providers.
• Review patient cases and symptom measurement scores.
• Provide diagnostic formulation and clinical recommendations.
• Make recommendations regarding psychopharmacology and medication management.
• Support treatment planning using evidence-based behavioral health practices.
• Provide clear, concise, and clinically appropriate recommendations to the care team.
• Collaborate with PCPs and Behavioral Health Care Managers to improve patient outcomes.
• Support population-based behavioral healthcare within an integrated care setting.
• Help ensure patients receive timely and appropriate behavioral health support.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State license as one of the following:
• Psychiatrist MD/DO
• PMHNP / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Psychiatric Physician Assistant / PA
• Currently operating an active practice in New York.
• Strong experience with psychopharmacology.
• Strong ability in psychiatric diagnosis and diagnostic formulation.
• Ability to provide concise, actionable clinical recommendations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a team-based / integrated behavioral healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
• Experience working with Primary Care Providers and Behavioral Health Care Managers.
• Background in integrated behavioral health or population-based behavioral healthcare.

Engagement

The engagement may be structured through a PC-MSO arrangement with the provider's existing practice. The client will support the provider through the compliance setup.
