Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Test Manager with 10+ years of experience in software testing and strong expertise in managing end-to-end testing for large-scale SAP implementations, S/4HANA transformations, upgrades, migrations, and support programs.

The Test Manager will be responsible for defining the overall testing strategy, managing testing teams, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing test execution, defect management, reporting, and ensuring successful completion of SIT, E2E, regression, UAT, and deployment/cutover testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SAP business processes, SAP S/4HANA, integration points, test management methodologies, and testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, ALM/qTest, or similar platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall SAP testing strategy, test approach, and test plan for implementation, upgrade, migration, and transformation programs.
• Lead end-to-end testing activities across SIT, System Testing, E2E, Regression, UAT, and Production Validation.
• Manage testing teams across multiple SAP functional areas such as SAP FICO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, HCM/SuccessFactors, Ariba, and other integrated applications.
• Develop and review test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test data, and requirements traceability.
• Coordinate testing activities across SAP, legacy systems, third-party applications, interfaces, middleware, and external systems.
• Manage test execution, daily status tracking, testing metrics, risks, dependencies, and overall test progress.
• Lead defect triage meetings, prioritize defects, assign ownership, and drive defects through resolution and closure.
• Coordinate with SAP functional leads, developers, business analysts, project managers, technical teams, business users, and external vendors.
• Manage test environments and test data in coordination with technical and Basis teams.
• Define testing entry/exit criteria and provide testing readiness and quality assessments.
• Prepare and present testing status reports, dashboards, KPIs, risks, issues, and executive-level updates.
• Lead UAT planning and coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure business process coverage.
• Support cutover, mock conversion, go-live, and hypercare testing activities.
• Ensure appropriate testing coverage for SAP integrations, custom developments, interfaces, reports, workflows, and data migration.
• Establish testing governance, standards, templates, processes, and quality controls.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and provide direction to SAP test leads, testers, and offshore/onshore testing teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in software/QA testing.
• Strong experience in SAP testing and test management for large-scale SAP programs.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience managing complete testing lifecycles including:
• SIT
• E2E Testing
• UAT
• Regression Testing
• Integration Testing
• Performance Testing
• Production Validation
• Experience managing testing for at least one major SAP implementation, transformation, migration, or upgrade.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes and cross-module integration.
• Experience coordinating testing across multiple SAP modules and non-SAP applications.
• Strong experience with test planning, test execution, defect management, metrics, and reporting.
• Experience leading distributed/onshore-offshore testing teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation or migration programs.
• Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience with SAP data migration and mock conversion testing.
• Knowledge of SAP interfaces, APIs, middleware, and integration testing.
• Experience with test automation strategy and implementation.
• Experience managing testing vendors / third-party testing partners.
• Experience in large global SAP programs with distributed teams.
• ISTQB / Certified Test Manager certification is a plus.
• SAP S/4HANA certification is a plus.
• Agile / Scrum / SAFe certification is a plus.
