distributed Cassandra/DSE environments.
Required Skills
Strong experience administering and optimizing Apache Cassandra / DataStax Enterprise (DSE) databases.
Deep understanding of Cassandra architecture and internals, including:
Gossip protocol
Peer-to-peer communication
Replication strategies
Compaction strategies
Incremental repairs
Hands-on expertise with Cassandra administration tools, including nodetool and dsetool.
Experience with cluster expansion, capacity planning, p
Hands-on expertise with Cassandra administration tools, including nodetool and dsetool.
Experience with cluster expansion, capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Proven experience with backup and recovery operations, including NodeTool snapshots and DataStax OpsCenter.
Strong experience performing SSTable migration and data movement across live Cassandra clusters with minimal downtime.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as DSE OpsCenter, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience managing large-scale, multi-instance, multi-tenant server environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders, explain database architecture concepts, evaluate requirements, and recommend
scalable and reliable database solutions.
Good to Have
Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Experience supporting highly available, distributed production database environments.
